Despite my user name, I am not brand biased. I like them all. But I agree with Truck Trend on this one, as far as the HD trucks goes, the Silverado HD is the winner. It is let down on dated looks, especially the interior, but mechanically it is best. I believe Ford is the winner in the half ton trucks, and GM has the weakest of the half tons. Just to prove I am not biased. I would like Ford to improve the Super Duty frame, exhaust brake, and put in the same auto locking rear axle that GM uses. GM desperately needs new gas engines.

Just picked up the magazine to read how biased truck trend is. Bouying up gm because they are needed for competition is one thing, but out and out being this biased is crazy. Build quality of the gm's is terrible compared to the Ford. Uncomfortable retro look? It is functional. Acces to the bed from the side is better. And fender is replaceable, unlike having to replace the whole bed side. How about the bad design of the DEF fill under the hood? Unacceptable.

Ford was the only American company that DIDN'T take bailout money

I AM SO DISAPOINTED WITH TRUCK TREND ONE DAY YOUR PRAISING THE NEW FORDS AND THE NEXT YOU ARE GIVING THE AWARD TO A BANKRUPT COMPANY THAT DOESNT HAVE THE BALLS TO BUILD AND INSALL THEIR OWN ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION.WE ALL KNOW THAT FORD BUILDS THE BEST TRUCKS ON THE ROAD. IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU WHAT A SHAM THESE TESTS ARE.FORD OUTSELLS BOTH DODGE AND GM COMBINED AND THERE IS NO DISPUTING THAT FACT..ITS BEEN THE BEST SELLING VEHICLE FOR 34 YEARS AND HERES TO ANOTHER 34.

Let's face it. These guys also road-test Ferrari's. And I didn't even see what the axle ratio was on the Super Duty. That could make a difference.
