Long-Term Update: 2005 Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner

Toyotas normally don't have repairs at such low mileage

When we took the Tacoma in for a 5000-mile service, the dealer checked a noise from the brake-pedal area. A new pedal assembly was special ordered, but when we went back for the 10,000-mile service, they ended up fixing the noise without replacing the assembly. They further addressed a clunk noise from the driver front window, which required replacing the window regulator. A new HVAC control unit corrected an inoperative "recirc" button light. Toyotas normally don't have repairs at such low mileage; otherwise, the PreRunner is a dream drive.
