With the $92.37 5000-mile service in its rearview, our 2008 Truck of the Year continues to soldier on, delivering the type of hauling capability we've come to expect from an award winner. "I drove the Tundra to Las Vegas back in October," says photographer Julia LaPalme, "and I absolutely loved having two motorcycles in the bed." With a rear suspension composed of leaf springs, heavy-duty shocks, and a live axle, the Tundra, like most trucks, provides a predominantly bouncy ride. But, as LaPalme notes: "Since we were hauling a couple bikes in the bed, the ride was nice and smooth, a feature that is aided by the comfortable leather interior." Speaking of which, not only does the interior's luxury border on Lexus-like, but, as LaPalme further observes, "the capacity of the cabin is excellent for three adults and their luggage" and "the seats are nice and large, with thick, comfortable foam."
