Senior editor Ron Kiino, following a trip to San Francisco, finds the "RDX lacks what many other SUVs offer-lots of cubbies and cupholders for front passengers. There are only two cupholders in the center console and one map pocket and small storage bin per front door. Many SUVs offer an additional cupholder in the door, which frees up the center-console cupholder for other stuff as well as more trays or bins in the center console that are useful for phones, keys, and other kit." Kiino appreciates the Acura's "huge, concealed two-tier center console compartment," but observes that "you can get to it only by opening the lid, which doesn't make it especially user-friendly for stuff you want easy access to." With just under 19,000 miles on the odo, the RDX visited Acura 101 West in Calabasas for its third service, a $233.68 job that included an oil change, tire rotation, inspection, and replacement of rear differential fluid.

7 months and 15,708 miles - After a quick trip with his wife to Vegas, online editor Michael Floyd opines that he prefers the RDX to the CX-9.
With a little over 8000 miles on the odometer, the RDX transported photographer Brian Vance and a couple friends to Northern Nevada for a "helping of genuine off-roading" while in search of "a hot-spring tub in the East Walker River Canyon."
3 months and 6865 miles - After accumulating 5700 miles, the RDX alerted us via its Maintenance Minder system that it required minor servicing.
I settled on was the Acura RDX, a new addition that seems to have the best of both worlds--an economical four-cylinder engine and a fast-ratcheting turbo.
