Photographer (and avid motorcyclist) Julia LaPalme previously filed a complaint about the Tundra: "I can't fit both my motorcycles in the bed and close the tailgate." Sure, they fit with the tailgate down, but LaPalme still had paranoid visions of straps coming loose and bikes rolling off the back, even though each bike was securely strapped down with three or four ties. But then, a light bulb came on. "What if I load the bikes diagonally?" she thought. "My first assumption was there wasn't enough room for two bikes to fit slantwise, even though I had done it with one already. But the Tundra proved me wrong! I loaded both motorcycles (standard, relatively short-wheelbase sport bikes) in the bed at a slight angle and was able to close the tailgate with inches to spare."
