At around 8700 miles, the Crosstour's Maintenance Minder system alerted us that its first service was due. A trip to Honda of Thousand Oaks netted a $97.68 oil change, full inspection, and tire rotation. Senior photographer Brian Vance piloted the Crosstour on a roundtrip from L.A. to Carson City, Nevada, and logged: "No traffic info on navigation? Isn't it about time Honda got Acura's nav system into its higher-priced products? The five-speed auto works well, but seems old school in this competitive crossover environment. Also, the tranny offers no manual gear selection. The interior is basic Accord but the price tag is high, so I wonder where the value is. I like the under-floor, hidden storage in the rear cargo hold, a better solution for concealing valuables than a retractable cover."

Since its reveal on Honda's Facebook page last summer, the Accord Crosstour has taken more than a little bit of flack for its, uh, interesting form.
