I've noticed something weird that never used to be an issue. On several occasions. I found myself yelling at the F-150. It's not what you might think, either. I love the EcoBoost's power, and the transmission is great, too, although it's strange that a six-speed automatic is quickly becoming the standard and not cutting-edge in trucks. The ride is comfortable, and the noise levels in the cab are impressive. No, I yell at the truck to try to get it to call the right contact when I'm using Bluetooth.
There are some mornings when I need to make phone calls on the way into work. In California, the only legal way to do that is through a hands-free unit, and Bluetooth is very easy to set up and use in the F-150. Yet sometimes the phone element of Sync is still ornery.
Here's an example: I say, "Phone" (the usual). No response. I yell, "Phone!" Nothing. Finally, I turn off the fan, lean toward the speaker, and yell, "PHONE!!!" It responds. I say, "Call Mario cell" (also the usual). It says that contact doesn't exist. I know it does. I try different combinations. No luck. Finally, exasperated, I find the contact through the center screen and dial that way.
This is by no means a big deal. It doesn't affect how the truck works, or the ability to tow and haul. However, for people who use their truck as a mobile office, this could be a problem.
