lasvegascolonel 5pts Though the Ram was Motor Trend's Truck of the Year, these GM trucks have some unique qualities. Cylinder deactivation, direct injection, aluminum blocks, step bumpers, will all help and together, the two GM trucks come close to Ford's truck sales. Like others have said, GM was wise not putting a car-designed V6 turbo like Ford did in their trucks. Recent issues with the Ecoboost, and Car and Driver's recommendation not to tow with it are probably good signs for V8 potential buyers. Finally, GM's warranty trumps Ford's in the powertrain department. These should do well. I would only consider a truck like this if and when it gets the 8 speed transmission like Chrysler is doing.
