Nissan is going to have to pull a rabbit out of it's hat very soon if they expect to keep this vehicle alive. Unless they let it die a slow death like the Ranger and Colorado/Canyon.

I don't really see the benefit of this truck. My 07 Tundra gets 16-17 mpg depending on how I drive. That means I'm getting better mpg, can seat 5 people in a more comfortable cab, can haul 1900 pounds and tow 10,300 (not all at the same time of course :P lol). Why would I opt for the Frontier instead? Maybe if I like smaller trucks, but my 02 Ranger hauls and tows roughly the same, plus gets much better mileage. Midsize trucks dont make much sense to me.

This is the kind of vehicle that the U.S. companies, in their fit of shortsightedness, abandoned in favor of over-sized trucks not quite suited for light duties. Ford, GM, and perhaps even Chrysler, say their giving up on the Americans who want a compact-sized truck. Too bad, though many Americans will be making them at the Japanese factories here.
