You say: "...insistently tuning to St. Louis Traffic on Sirius when we spoke "Street Address" as a command, even when in the Navigation mode." I say you should try saying "Destination street address". It'll work every time. Like any woman, Sync is picky and likes to be spoken to in a particular manner. Once you figure that out, she gives herself to you completely. As for the colonel's comment, you're another one making a LOT of assumptions about 'unproven engines.' Considering these trucks have been out for over two years and the biggest complaints are with overly affective turbo intercoolers, I'd say they're doing just fine. You do realize that diesels are turboed as well, right? Gas or diesel, a turbos a turbo. As for powertrain warranty, I'm reminded of a favorite movie of mine: "Why does he put a guarantee on the box? It's because he knows all he sold you was a guaranteed piece of sh!t! If you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed I will; I have the spare time."

Truck Trend says the only downside to this engine is the noise. Well, other reviewers add these: extra cost over the 5.0 V8, recent issues that Ford is trying to address, worse highway mpg than GM's new V8s! Oh, one more: Ford has the weakest powertrain warranty (along with Toyota). So, maybe they should take the blinders off. Personally, I like Fords, having 12 of the past 22 cars being a Ford. I'm just not over-the-top though on problem prone, expensive, and unproven engines that don't get anywhere near the mileage of a true V6.
