While it may meet the need of its "target audience", people who like performance, smoothness, quietness, etc., will miss the superior V6, which offered all of the above plus about equal mpg. At the least, Toyota should have offered it as an option since they said 30% of the people went for the better setup. But Toyota is notorious for treating the U.S. market badly...look at the Prius V we got compared to sophisticated consumers in Europe and Japan. But for the U.S. market, these vehicles will sell. Even the Prius V is doing well but our version is rejected in favor of the modern Prius V available in every other market.
