Fresh off its initial roll out of Lamborghini LP560-4 tuning accessories, German tuner IMSA has finished a preliminary program for the baby bull's people-carrying cousin, the Audi RS 6.

Beginning with the exterior, IMSA designers filled the bold flared fenders with center-locking 20 in. Challenge wheels. Complementing the wider stance is a revised suspension calibration of Audi's advanced Dynamic Ride Control system. Together, the lower, wider track gives the car an even more menacing demeanor.

With their extensive knowledge of complete Lamborghini performance engine rebuilds, the same type of treatment goes for the Audi, right? Well, not exactly (for this time around, anyway). Engineers over at Bruggen added only a free flowing stainless steel exhaust to the potent 580-hp V-10 powerplant. All told, the IMSA RS 6 makes a whopping 650 horses and 550 lb-ft of torque. That's enough power to rocket the wagon to 62 mph in less than 4.2 sec.

Although not stated by IMSA, we're guessing some more horses were bred by way of a new ECU or intake system. Compared to the MTM's and ABT Sportline's 700-plus horsepower, Ferrari beating uber machines we previously covered, IMSA's carefully crafted tuning schedule seems fairly civilized. But then again, the Audi RS 6 isn't exactly tame to begin with.

More mods from IMSA, the self-proclaimed Audi-mobili Lamborghini tuner, are said to be in the works, and given the tuner's track record, we can't wait to see what's next.
