2013 Nissan NV200 Long-Term Update 2
3 Months and 8868 Miles: First Service
For its 7500-mile maintenance service, we took our Nissan NV200 to a different dealer from the one we used for our long-term Nissan Frontier. After looking through the Frontier records, we discovered we were getting charged for items we didn't request, even when we walked into the dealer with the owner's manual and pointed to the book to indicate what we wanted.
With my NV200 owner's manual in hand, I walked up to service guy pointed to the less-sever 7500-mile service that includes multipoint inspection, oil change, and tire rotation -- totaling $63 for parts and labor.
Though I was very pleased to have found a dealer who gave me what I wanted, we had a small hiccup. Two days after the tire rotation, the NV200's check-tire-pressure warning started flashing over the odometer, blocking me from viewing the vehicle's odometer, trip, and fuel-range screens. After checking the tire pressures, I discovered the front and rear tires were not properly inflated after the rotation; they need to be 44/48psi -- an easy fix but inconvenient. Resetting the tire pressures was the only way to get the "check-tire-pressure" to stop flashing.
