Long Term Update 2: 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT

5 months and 9247 miles

Mike Connor spent time in the Outlander after an extended stay in the Tucson and notes, "After taking our Tucson on a 1000-mile drive, I really appreciate having a V-6 in this Mitsu. Having a four-cylinder in an SUV makes about as much sense as attempting to launch the Space Shuttle with an engine made by Estes. This 3.0-liter six is smooth and works nicely with the six-speed auto. The paddle shifters are most welcome. Ride quality is decent, and the view of the gauges is exemplary. The touchscreen nav/audio interface, though, needs to be junked. It's completely lacking a hood -- sunlight washes it right out. Also, no rotary knobs at all. Does Mitsu really expect the user to push the Up/Down toggle, say, 147 times to browse sat-radio channels?"
