Long Term Update 4: 2010 Ram HD 2500
12 months and 20,262 miles
The Ram recently received a nice set of chrome Mopar side steps. These bolted on with no drilling or welding on to our crew cab at a cost $633 a pair. Step-in height was reduced by almost 9 inches, a difference that was received enthusiastically by the shorter members of the staff. The Ram continues to be our workhorse, as a tow vehicle and moving truck.
"If you buy this, you better have something to haul, otherwise it's not fair to the truck. It's like having a greyhound you never let run," said art director Mike Royer. The Ram also helped with moves into college dorms and transporting exercise equipment. Through it all, the Cummins I-6 continues to operate smoothly and reliably, and more than one staffer feels driving the Ram is like driving a full-size sedan.
